The planned road closures on Tithebarn Street and Ormskirk Road junction starting this week will be delayed until further notice and both roads will be open as normal.

Preston City Council confirmed the delay on their X account during Monday (13 January) afternoon and in a statement to Blog Preston.

Work has been taking place across the Lancaster Road North, Old Vicarage, Tithebarn Street and Ormskirk Road areas since last summer.

Tithebarn Street where it meets Old Vicarage was originally due to close from Tuesday (14 January) until Friday 24 January.

And further night-time closures from 8pm to 6am of the Ormskirk Road and North Road junction were planned from Wednesday 15 January to Friday 24 January. All closures have been scrapped until further notice.
