Thousands of mourners attended the funeral of a Broadgate man and boy who died in a crash in Chain Caul Way this week.
Pictures show enormous crowds at Preston Cemetery in Ribbleton.
A Janazah – a Muslim funeral service – and burial took place for Umar Mahmood, 18, and Adam Bodi, 16 during Friday afternoon.
Preston’s Muslim Burial Society had encouraged those attending to life-share or walk to the Cemetery in Miller Road due to the volume of people expected to pay their respects.
In Muslim faith it is tradition for the funeral to take place around 24-hours after death.
Umar, who appeared in Freddie Flintoff’s Field of Dreams, was the driver of an Audi A3 Sport which hit a tree near the Docks on Tuesday evening. He died in hospital on Thursday morning.
Adam was the back-seat passenger and died in hospital on Wednesday from his injuries.
Both of them had previously attended Penwortham Priory Academy – who paid tribute to both Umar and Adam.
A 17-year-old boy was also seriously injured in the crash and he remains in a stable condition in hospital.
