A Euxton pub will hold a launch event tonight following a £150,000 refurbishment that has seen it enjoy a fresh new look and larger beer garden.
On Friday, 15 July, The Talbot in Euxton will open to the public with its ‘Launch Party’, with the revamp five years after its first refurbishment under North West pub company Blind Tiger Inns.
The Talbot is a community pub, and this latest refurbishment has changed the site from a community pub to a premium local, with the exterior and interior transformed throughout.

Chris Tulloch, the managing director of Blind Tiger Inns, said: “I’m always proud of the transformations within Blind Tiger Inns, but this refurb is insanely good.
“It’s nothing like we have ever done before, but in today’s climate, we need to be different to keep ahead of the curve.
“The interior designers and signage company have all gone above and beyond and come up with something spectacular.
“The fact we had a graffiti artist come all the way from Cornwall really shows how special this is, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it and experience our new premium local!”

The front of the pub has been repainted in grey, blue and white, a wooden picket fence has been added around the perimeter, and azulejo tiles replace the flagstones for alfresco drinking and dining.
At the rear, the beer garden was extended, with fixed wooden seating booths built, allowing for a larger capacity outdoors.
Further seating has been added close to the children’s play area, where adults can enjoy a drink in the sun while watching their children play safely.

Professional graffiti artists ‘Urban Gypset’ arrived from Cornwall to spray paint artwork onto all the walls of the interior.
Foliage and flowers have been added to the ceilings, and the Mediterranean tiling has been carried through from outside.
Other changes include the introduction of stone-baked pizzas, a staged area for entertainment and a complete overhaul of all the exterior signage, including a new logo designed by Preston-based company ‘CSI Signage’.

Despite its complete transformation, it is still accessible to all the locals and the Euxton community.
Live TV sports and the weekly quiz will remain, with the pool table and darts board in the vault area of the pub.
