A local fire station has invited residents to a family open day event this weekend after a two-year hiatus.
On Sunday, 17 July, from 10am to 4pm, Preston Fire Station in Blackpool Road, Deepdale, will welcome families as they meet a friendly team of firefighters and staff.
They will hold the event to support the Fire Fighters Charity, with Mountain Rescue, Lancashire Police, and Bay Search and Rescue also in attendance.

“All the family are welcome, and you can join a range of activities and see some of the skills and equipment on offer.”
The event offers face painting, stalls on the fire dogs, a bouncy castle and an opportunity to see the crews in action, with road traffic collision and rope rescue drill demonstrations.
