Work is set to begin on a new Preston branch of Indian street food chain chaiiwala.
The work will see the former pharmacy at the junction of Deepdale Road and St George’s Road become the UK’s northernmost branch of chaiiwala.
Arif Master, who operates the Blackburn chaiiwala, is behind the Preston opening.
He said: “Planning has been approved and work is due to start within a couple of weeks. We expect to open around September time all going well.”
There are currently 19 chaiiwala outlets across the country.
The chain’s specialty is Karak Chaii, an Indian-style creamy tea infused with spices. The food menu includes an all-day breakfast, Bombay sandwiches, masala chips, sweet paratha and Pav Bhaji, plus a range of desserts.
