Various retailers including Aldi are due to open at the new mini retail park in Fulwood.
AdvertisementRoles are now being advertised for the new Aldi store, which will open later this summer.
A spokesperson for the supermarket chain said: “We will be opening a new store at Fulwood retail park in Preston in August, creating up to 30 new jobs. Anyone interested to apply for a job at the store can find out more about the roles available at aldirecruitment.co.uk.”
Meanwhile a spokesperson at the site off Oliver’s Place confirmed variety retailer B&M would be filling the space next to Aldi.
One of four newly created spaces has been snapped up by Subway. A Burger King restaurant has been confirmed for a new unit yet to be constructed. Costa have also confirmed they will be putting in a drive-through at the retail park.
The land off Oliver’s Place and Eastway, opposite the old Broughton printers site, has stood empty for years. In June 2018 final plans were passed by Preston City Council for a supermarket and a gym, plus eight retail units. A 329-space car park is also going to be created.
