An Indian street food restaurant is eyeing up opening in Preston.

Chaiiwala has expanded rapidly in the Midlands and is now branching out to the north.

On the menu alongside specialist teas are Masala chips, chilli paneer and classic rotis.

Locations in Friargate and Deepdale are being considered by its owners.

A source told Blog Preston that Friargate was its preferred location because of high footfall and closeness to the university campus.

Chaiiwala has recently confirmed it is opening in Dewsbury near Leeds and also Blackburn.
