The battle for County Hall takes place over the next 24-hours as the city and most of the county goes to the polls.
Voting takes place throughout Thursday (1 May) until 10pm and then we await the counts taking place throughout Friday (2 May).

Lancashire County Council’s days are numbered due to the Devolution deal which is in place and the direction of travel towards an elected Mayor – but these are crucial years ahead for Preston and Lancashire.
We’ve had extensive coverage of the local elections – from the intense hustings which saw issues debated by the five main parties, skulduggery from Reform and our seat profiles on the majority of the divisions up for election in and around Preston.
