Preston Police are advising people to avoid the area of Brockholes, Tickled Trout, Samlesbury and J31 roundabout off the M6.
There is currently a peaceful protest causing traffic disruption in the area.
The police are asking those travelling to use an alternative route where possible – with protestors focused on the roundabout near the Tickled Trout hotel.

The protest, organised by Lancashire Farmers Movement, is the first being held by farmers in the area, raising awareness about farms being forced to close and sell up.
A spokesperson for the movement said: “Farmers are under constant financial pressure due to rising costs to produce food but yet the prices farmers are paid for their produce do not match these rising costs that are dictated by the powers that be.
“This topped with the constant rules and regulations that British farmers are expected to comply with and various different red tape measures that are brought out every year are basically making it impossible for British farming to be sustainable in the long run.”
