Reports of a firearms discharge has caused road closures including Cranborne Street, London Road and Adelaide Street.
Update: Latest on the shooting incident as London Road fully re-opens
Preston Police have a number of road closures in place across the London Road area due to the reported incident.
Residents are being asked to avoid the area where possible. It is not known when they roads will reopen. Footage below shows the scene in London Road on Tuesday morning, or see it on YouTube.

Bus routes are being disrupted due to the road closures which are causing congestion.
Preston Police officers remain on the scene as they seek to ‘establish the circumstances’ around the incident.
The firearms discharge took place around 9am on Tuesday (27 February).
A police spokesperson said: “A man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and is current in custody.
“No one is thought to have been injured as a result of the firearms discharged and it is being treated as an isolated incident, with no wider threat to the public.”
