A teenage boy has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and dangerous driving after a police chase through Clayton-le-Woods and Leyland.
Chorley Police said a heavy police presence in Leyland Lane and Turpin Green Lane in Leyland was triggered after reports of a fuel theft from a petrol station in Clayton-le-Woods.
At around 2pm on Thursday (11 January) officers attended the petrol station to reports of a stolen vehicle – a Peugeot 308 – making off from the petrol station without paying.

Officers signalled for the vehicle to stop but it made off leading to a police pursuit through Chorley and Leyland.
The car collided with a number of vehicles during the pursuit, including police vehicles, but no one was hurt.
Police brought the chase to an end in Turpin Green Lane and closed Leyland Lane between Canberra Road and Bent Lane shortly before 4pm. The road re-opened around 5pm.
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and dangerous driving. A 19-year-old man, and two teenage boys, age 17 and 16 have all been arrested on suspicion of burglary. They remain in custody.
