Fire crews and rescue technicians were forced to deploy an inflatable raft this afternoon after a vehicle became stuck in flood water.
Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service were called to Catforth Road in Preston after the vehicle became trapped in the water. Appliances from Preston and Penwortham attended the incident.
Crews teamed swift water rescue technicians and used an inflatable raft to rescue one person from the vehicle. They then remained at the scene.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service said: “At 13:22 on 6 October 2023, two fire engines from Preston and Penwortham, along with two swift water rescue technicians and an inflatable raft attended an incident on Catforth Road, Preston.
“The incident involved a vehicle that was stuck in water. Crews rescued one person from the vehicle and are still in attendance.”
