Ribbleton Lane closed due to burst water main

A burst water main is causing traffic disruption on the edge of Preston city centre this morning.

Ribbleton Lane is closed with United Utilities resource on site during Wednesday (21 June).

A spokesperson for United Utilities said: “We’re happy to confirm that repairs to the burst on the junction of Ribbleton Lane and Crook Street are underway. Our team still have some work to do to get things back to normal, and are working as quickly as possible to restore supplies.

“Thanks for your patience and sorry for any inconvenience this may be causing.”

The burst water main is causing both Preston Bus and Stagecoach to divert bus services – with the number 6 and number 1 affected.
