Flood alerts withdrawn for Preston and Lancashire

Flood alerts and warnings for Preston have been stood down.

The Environment Agency has withdrawn flood alerts which covered the Lower River Ribble and River Darwen.

A flood warning for parts of Leyland, on the River Lostock, had been in place since Saturday (27 July) has also been removed.

Preston has seen a miserable weekend of continuous rain and showers.

The Met Office is forecasting a more settled Monday with no rain due until Tuesday afternoon.
