The Met Office has amended its warning for when thunderstorms are expected to strike Preston and Lancashire.
Heavy rain is due during Sunday (23 June) evening.
A yellow weather warning, the lowest level, is in force with a warning of torrential rain and lightining.
The Met Office say there may be some flooding and disruption to travel.
Here’s the hour-by-hour forecast for Preston for Sunday:
10am – 17 degrees and sun breaking through
11am – Remains at 17 degrees as Preston Carnival begins to gather
12noon – 18 degrees and sunshine and cloud
1pm – 18 degrees and a moderate breeze
2pm – Up to 19 degrees, the highest temperature of the day
3pm – Sun still breaking through the cloud
4pm – Remains at 19 degrees
5pm – Still at 19 degrees
6pm – The first sign of a shower, with a 23 per cent chance of rain
7pm – Still 18 degrees and the chance of rain increases
8pm – Some sunshine mixed in with the showers
9pm – Chance of rain increases to 73 per cent
10pm – Temperatures at 16 degrees and the rain continues
11pm – Still heavy rain
Monday (24 June)
Overnight – The thundry showers are expected around 1am, so you may get woken up by a thunderstorm
A warning for thunderstorms and heavy rain remains in force throughout Monday and Tuesday (25 June).
