As Preston’s new Market Hall continues to trade and more stalls open there’s the wrecking ball hanging over the former market.

Preston’s Indoor Market is due for demolition to make way for a £50million cinema and restaurants complex.

The Light Cinema Chain is lined up to run the 11-screen cinema and a new car park is also to be built.

£4million has already been spent on the new market hall which is under the canopy of the Victorian Outdoor Covered Market.
