Preston may be seeing these national chains in future

As Preston’s cinema plan got the nod we asked Prestonians which restaurants they wanted to see coming to the city.

The £50m Preston Markets plan has secured planning permission.

It is due to include five restaurants in a new building replacing the current Indoor Market and car park.

Regional director of Muse Developments Mike Horner hinted at what restaurants are due to come.

He said ‘we’ve already had huge interest from many top national restaurant chains wanting to be part of the scheme.’

High up the list is the US burger chain, as Chris Mann put it:

Wagamamas

The oriental restaurant chain has plenty of Thai and Vietnamese offerings. Could it head to Preston?

Taco Bell

Massive in the US but it’s slowly expanding over here.

It’s on the artist impressions if you look closely. There isn’t one in Preston so is it time?

They were on the list for when Fishergate was doing its cinema revamp – before Vue pulled out. Sushi in the Markets?
