These were some of the final moments inside the old Preston Indoor Market.

Photographer Joseph Gudgeon spent months chronicling the end of the old market.

In its place a new £4million glazed market hall has opened underneath the Outdoor Covered Market.

Next door stands the 20th century prefab building awaiting demolition.

Preston-born photographer Joseph is now working to display his pictures of the final day (Saturday 10 February).

As well as the market building he also captured pictures of a lot of the traders who have now retired or decided to stop trading instead of moving into the new market.
