Beer garden at The Hunters is proving popular
A Preston pub are reached the final of a national pub awards after being turned around in recent years.
The Hunters pub, in Lostock Hall, was relaunched in April last year.
It’s been shortlisted in the best turnaround category of the Great British Pub Awards.
General manager at the Thwaites chain pub Carl Palmer said: “Since we reopened as The Hunters we’ve become the heart of the community, and we take pride in being the place families come to celebrate birthdays, toast engagements, gather over Sunday roasts, and enjoy sunny afternoons. Over the last few weeks we’ve held charity nights for Macmillan, sponsored the local football team with a new kit, and even served as a polling station.
“As a large family pub we aim to satisfy a really broad range of tastes with a mixture of delicious pub classics along with exciting new dishes, like our range of tapatizers, along with theme nights and great deals throughout the week, and most of our dishes are made with locally sourced ingredients. We’re all really looking to representing the north at the awards in October.”
The team will be taking a trip to London for the awards.
