A man from Preston has been arrested after a chase through the city that ended in a crash on Blackpool Road.
Police had signalled for a Toyota Yaris to stop on Pedder Street at around 7.50pm on Monday (21 April).
The vehicle failed to stop and was pursued at speed through residential streets, taking what police described as ‘risky manoeuvres’ in an attempt to evade in a chase that lasted over 20 minutes.

The Yaris eventually crashed into a pedestrian crossing post where Blackpool Road and Tulketh Brow meet.
The driver, a 64-year-old man from Preston, then failed a roadside drugwipe for cocaine and was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving with excess drugs.
