An overturned car on the M6 triggered a large emergency services response and a temporary closure on the southbound carriageway.
Police were called to the scene of a two-vehicle collision on the M6 southbound at around 1.14am this morning (18 April).
They found that a car had flipped onto its roof between junction 32 and junction 31 on the M6 southbound.

The carriageway was closed for a short period of time while the incident was resolved. One person involved in the incident was taken to hospital but police said that nobody involved sustained any serious injuries.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service said: “At 1:14 AM on April 18, 2025, fire engines from Lancaster, Preston, and Bolton-le-Sands attended a road traffic collision on the M6 southbound between junctions 31 and 30. The incident involved two vehicles.
“Firefighters worked to make the scene safe and one casualty was taken to hospital by ambulance. Crews remained at the scene for one hour.”
The M6 is flowing well this morning.
