Watling Street Road crash causes Fulwood delays after Preston North End game

Football fans were caught up in delays on a busy Fulwood route after a crash.

One car was seen facing the wrong way with damage to its front end.

The crash took place in Watling Street Road on Saturday (1 March) around 2.30pm.

More than 17,000 fans were leaving Deepdale as Preston North End beat Burnley 3-0 to reach the quarter finals of the FA Cup.

No is understood to have been hurt in the crash with delays clearing by around 3.30pm and Blog Preston understands it only involved one vehicle.

The crash followed earlier congestion on Saturday lunchtime around Junction 32 for Broughton as Burnley fans made the trip to Deepdale.
