Driver escapes as car flips on icy rural Preston road

A driver had a lucky escape during a crash in Grimsargh during Thursday morning.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service were called when a car overturned on Haighton Green Lane in icy conditions.
A spokesperson said the driver was out of the vehicle when they arrived – crews made the scene safe and left the driver waiting for a recovery truck.

A friend of the driver told Blog Preston the driver had been forced to swerve to avoid a collision close to where the road meets Brabiner Lane. A number of motorists stopped to come to the drivers aid when the crash happened.
