M6 re-opens northbound at Preston after ‘shed load’

The M6 was blocked northbound due to a ‘shed load’ at Preston.

Highways England North West is warning of delays of at least 40 minutes.

All lanes are currently blocked between Junction 31 (Tickled Trout/Samlesbury) and 31A (Longridge/Fulwood) due to the incident.

The shed load took place shortly before 11am on Thursday (17 October).

Delays are already back to Junction 30 where the M6 and M61 meet.

Traffic England is reporting delays are likely until around 1pm on Thursday. The motorway was showing as running freely around 2pm on Thursday.
