Two men arrested after fleeing M6 towards Hoghton

Two men were arrested after an incident which began on the M6.

A car was requested to stop on the M6 by police yesterday afternoon (29 September).

Two men in the car fled the scene towards Hoghton prompting a large scale police response, including a search helicopter, to find them.

They were arrested at 4.57pm on Bank Head Lane after being apprehended by officers from Lancashire Constabulary.

The two men, 27 and 25, have been arrested on suspicion of immigration offences, police said.
