A Preston boxer has been arrested by police in connection with a city centre assault.
Scott Fitzgerald, 32, had been the subject of a police appeal after an incident on Guildhall Street in the early hours of July 15 in the aftermath of the Euro 2024 final left a man requiring treatment in hospital.
He appeared to mock the police for the wording of their appeal on social media after it had been issued.
