A bus service linking Preston and Fleetwood could stop operating this summer.

A spokesperson for Blackpool Transport said: “Our operation of the 74 and 75 bus routes between Preston and Fleetwood will end on 17th August 2024.
“These tendered Lancashire County Council routes have been operated by Blackpool Transport since 2020 in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. We are now looking to re-allocate our resources to the core bus network, which has achieved a level of stability since ‘Routes Reimagined’ in January 2024.
“For customers who use the 74 and 75 routes, Lancashire County Council will advertise a new tender for other operators to continue the routes.
“In the coming months, we will therefore be able to increase the frequency of core services and act on more of your feedback.”
