Preston has hosted Lancashire’s biggest Palestine demonstration.
8,000 protestors from across the county took to the city’s streets on Sunday (3 March) to call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Organised by Children of the Ghetto, the march started at Deepdale Stadium and ended with a rally on the Flag Market, where the Palestine flag was raised.

One of the organisers, Michael Lavalette from the Stop the War Coalition, said: “We would like to thank each and every person who came to the demonstration.
“We made history. 8,000 people marched through Preston, the largest ever demonstration for Palestine in the county.
“And the towns in the county worked together in a way that is not usual. We came together – brothers and sisters united and determined to raise our voice for Palestine.”
