Prolonged and heavy rain will hit Preston to start the week, according to a new warning from the Met Office.

It is the latest in a string of weather warnings that have been in place for Preston across January, with Storm Isha and Storm Jocelyn bringing the most notable disruptive weather. The warning is in place from midday tomorrow (January 28) until 5am on Tuesday (January 29).

The warning states that the heavy rain may lead to some flooding and that could therefore impact people’s travel plans. The warning also states, however, that the impact of the weather is likely to be at the lower end of the spectrum.
