Police find body in search for missing man Tony Mills

A body found in Scarisbrick between Ormskirk and Southport is understood to be missing man Tony Mills.
South Ribble Police made an appeal to trace Tony during Friday (26 January) and said he had been sighted at the Moss Side Industrial Estate in Leyland on Tuesday 23 January.
Police said officers discovered a body during the early hours of Saturday (27 January) morning in a wooded area off Pooly Hey Lane in Scarisbrick.
Formal identification is yet to take place but police say they believe the body is that of 39-year-old Tony Mills who is from Ormskirk.
A police spokesperson said: “Our thoughts are with his loved ones at this time.
“There are no suspicious circumstances and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner.”
