New cocktail bar Mrs Sippy has officially opened in Longridge.

The venue replaced the former Bartleys Bar and underwent a complete renovation using local traders.

The bar opened on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 when it welcomed customers for the first time.

Owners have recommended that those wanting to visit book a table in advance as they prepare for a busy period.

Speaking about the opening, a spokesperson for bar said: “We have been utterly overwhelmed at the level of support.

“When we made the difficult decision to postpone our opening until January we were prepared to have a quiet start to the year and just had to accept that we’d missed the key trading time. How wrong we were!”

They added: “The feedback of those who have been in has been fantastic so we’re thrilled to be off to a great start to 2024.

“A few teething problems of course which is to be expected with any new venture but we are working though those with the team to ensure we learn and keep improving at every opportunity.”

Posting on Facebook, the owners said that the menu is set to expand next month.

They wrote: “There will be a great selection of wines, cocktails, beers and light bites on offer throughout January with an even more extensive menu launching in Feb!”

The venue in Berry Lane will be available for hire for parties as well as smaller tables for what they describe as a “photogenic feast”.

Private hires will be available for those who want the space to themselves or for a special event.
