PC Pearce uncovered the stash of plants after a ‘rather distinctive smell’ was coming from an ‘innocent looking property’.
Upon entering the property more than 100 cannabis plants were discovered.

Tools and equipment were also seized according to Preston Police.
A police spokesperson said: “The property appeared innocent from the outside, but it was giving off a rather distinctive smell which was raising concern with various members of the community.
“Officers arranged access to the property, and they initially thought they had walked into a local garden centre; however, it soon became apparent that the plants being grown were of the illegal type.
“Multiple rooms had been converted for the purpose of growing Cannabis plants, and upwards of 100 have been seized in this one property alone.
“This is in addition to the tools and equipment that have been confiscated, none of which will be used to support any further criminal activities.
“The lesson is simple. Stick to growing tomatoes as if you choose to cultivate cannabis, we will be watching, and it will be taken from you.”
No arrests have been made at this stage although police said enquiries are ongoing.
