Police working to identify the body of a man found at Rivington have released pictures of clothing.
Chorley Police released a picture of a watch after a man’s body, aged between 40 and 50, was found in Dean Brook near to Horrobin Lane, Rivington.
He was discovered during December 7 but police have as yet been unable to identify him or contact a next of kin.
At this time his death is not being treated as suspicious and police said there is no connection with the ongoing search for missing Brian Blakeman from Skelmersdale.
The new pictures released show a green ‘Foxy’ jacket and green coloured wellies.
Already released as a distinctive orange coloured Casio digital watch.
The man has a dark goatee-style beard, cropped dark but slightly greying hair and is of medium to large build.
He was also wearing black Slazenger tracksuit bottoms and a white-grey Soulcal & Co t-shirt.
Police are asking people who were in the area between December 4 to December 7 to think back to if they saw someone fitting this description or wearing this type of clothing.
A spokesperson for Chorley Police said: “Whilst our officers have been working to find the identity of the man, we are continuing to ask for your help.
“We’re also asking that those who frequent the area check to see if there are any vehicles in the vicinity that haven’t moved over the last two weeks. If you do notice anything, please get in contact with us.
We want to be able to provide closure to the man, and his loved ones, but in order to do that, we need to identify him.”
“Our officers are continuing to work to find out who this man is, but are asking that if you, the public, have any information, no matter how minor or insignificant you think it may be, to get in touch.”
