An enormous crowd turned out for the switching on of a Preston Christmas tradition.
The Tippings family house in Cottam has become a mecca for festive fans over the last 12 years.
With tens of thousands of lights put up in the display which has grown bigger and more dazzling each year it’s a must-see for families and anyone getting into the Christmas spirit.

Mark Tipping and family in Valentine’s Meadow have raised more than £140,000 for charities since beginning the festive tradition. Charity donations were collected during the switch on.
This year saw the big switch on take place during Sunday 26 November with music and fireworks as part of the event – with a crowd of more than 1,000 people lining the streets waiting for the house to be lit up.
