Guild Way crash causes Penwortham to Preston delays

There is major disruption between Preston and Penwortham on Thursday morning.

Preston Police have shut one lane of the Guild Way (A582) towards Preston city centre due to a crash.

A crash on the A582 Guild Way slip road towards the Docks happened shortly after 8am.

Traffic is backed up towards Penwortham Way.

A spokesperson for the police said: “The area is currently very busy. Please plan your route accordingly and be patient whilst we clear this as quick as possible.”

Police said around 9.30am all lanes were back open as the crash was cleared – but delays still remain in the area.
