Preston rain warning issued by Met Office until Monday evening

Preston’s wet summer looks set to continue with Monday shaping up to be an all-day washout.

The Met Office has issued a weather warning for heavy rain.

In place from 12.01am on Monday (14 August) the yellow weather warning – the lowest warning level – runs through until 9pm on Monday.

The warning states: “Rain, heavy and persistent at times, bringing the risk of disruption to transport and infrastructure.”

Motorists are being warned of difficult driving conditions with increased spray.
