As well as apartments there would be a co-working space, car parking and gym.

The new apartments would be built following the demolition of a two-storey canteen and office storage building and its associated footbridge link. The building was used as a sixth form centre when the college as operating.

The proposals were submitted by Studio John Bridge Ltd on behalf of Branco Winckley Square Ltd.

The development includes 27 one-bedroom apartments and eight two-bedroom apartments.

Two objections to the proposals have been received concerned about the loss of light and the application ‘understates the history setting of the site’.
