Four paws are pounding across a field in Goosnargh as a new dog field opens.

Mr & Mrs Barker, who run Go Barkers, have applied to convert a field next to their property in Goosnargh Lane for the use of four-legged exercise.

Already operating a dog walking service the duo have added a pick-up and play service for dog owners.

The proposal, lodged with Preston City Council, says a boundary fence and access gates are already in place for the former 2,300 square metre agricultural field.

In the proposals, by Mr Paul Henderson of Evolve Architectural Design, he writes: “It is proposed to change the use of the land from agricultural to a dog walking field (Sui Generis). The field will be used to exercise dogs for approximately one hour sessions throughout the day.

“There will be a maximum of three dogs at any one time all of which will be from the same household. There will be no mixing of dogs from different households.

“Dogs will be collected from their owners in the business’s van and transported to the dog walking field.”

No artificial lighting is planned.
