A late night bar and kitchen is opening in Friargate.
Vyne has been created by Serena Baxter and Paul Harrison, who own various bars in Preston including Lonely People and In:Libra.
The pair have over 20 years of hospitality experience, and have opened a venue nearly every year since moving to Preston in 2017.
Vyne is billed as a modern, stylish bar specialising in small plates, creative cocktails and international wines. There are plans to host jazz, live DJs, and a monthly wine club.
Head Chef Adam Bennett has settled in Preston after having daughter Lily Ann, but previously trained and worked with Marco Pierre White.
Adam said: “I’ve cooked my way through the world learning different cuisines, including being private chef for the King of Morocco, and working as senior Sous Chef at The English House in Singapore.
“Now I’ve grown roots in Preston, and I believe this is where good local produce can be found. I want to focus on local and seasonal food as providence is key.”
Serena says the new food venue follows requests from Lonely People customers.
“This spot in Friargate seemed the right space, and now we’ve got enough space to finally have a kitchen, which will allow us to develop our cocktail menus as well.”

Serena believes the future is looking bright for Preston’s indie scene.
“We already have some great existing independent businesses in the city centre,” said Serena. “These independents are what give Preston its vibrancy, so we need to keep pushing for more and work together.
“We are really excited about the location due to the upcoming pedestrianisation of Friargate, and can’t wait to use the outdoor area in the summer.
“We have a lot of plans ahead which will hopefully get people excited about eating and drinking out in Preston.”
Vyne Bar and Kitchen opens on Wednesday 8 March at 133 Friargate.
