A local singer who has gigged across the North West for the last 10 years will play at Chorley Theatre on 25 October.
AdvertisementAt the start of 2022, Connor Banks, 19, from Preston, decided to push his original music, selling out shows around Preston and landing his first headline gig in Manchester.
Connor also started recording his debut EP, available later this year, with the first single, ‘There’s a Light’, arriving on 26 August.

He has performed shows across the North West, building a devoted following, but started playing at small community events like ‘Penwortham Live’.
Connor said his songs have a ‘storytelling feel’, evidenced by the music from which he draws inspiration.
The first artist Connor connected with was Ed Sheeran, and more recently, he admired the likes of Sam Fender, Gerry Cinnamon, Harry Styles and Paolo Nutini.

During the lockdown period, he wrote ‘There’s a Light’ as ‘the feeling of the unknown scared people’.
He believed there was a ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ and wished to remind people not to ‘give up on their dreams’.
Connor said the song is an ‘upbeat indie tune made to get people off their feet’.
