Detectives have been granted more time to interview four people after the murder of a man in Ribbleton.
The fatal stabbing happened on Friday (8 July) in Raikes Road. The man, in his 20s, was treated at the scene for stab wounds to the chest and taken to Royal Preston Hospital but sadly later died.
Six people were initially arrested by police on suspicion of murder.
A man and woman, both aged 18, have been released no further action.
Officers have been granted more time to question two boys aged 16 and two girls aged 16 and 15, all from Preston.

Det Ch Insp Mark Haworth-Oates, of Lancashire Police’s Force Major Investigation Team, said: “We now have four people are in custody and we have a dedicated team of detectives working across a number of enquiries.
“I would urge any witnesses, who have yet to speak to police, to come forward and tell us what they know.”
