Two local fundraisers will take on a 224-mile walk from Blackpool to Buckingham Palace to raise funds for charity and a local non-profit organisation.
In the second week of August, Richard Wardell from Kirkham and Mark Brown from Preston will attempt the feat in five to six days to raise funds for Cancer Research and The Space Centre Preston.
The pair aim to raise £20,000 for the two causes and have launched ‘Black2Buck’ JustGiving and Facebook pages to raise donations.

The pair said: “About three months ago, we promised each other we were going to do something amazing this summer, and we want you to become part of it too.
“Hopefully, you’ll see where you could fit into one of the bravest (and probably stupidest) challenges two normal blokes from the North West could undertake on three months of training.
“We’d love you to be part of our story that we’re hoping will become a local legend.”
