Police last night seized three knives from a group of teenagers in Bamber Bridge.
AdvertisementWhen out patrolling on Monday 25 October, neighbourhood officers from South Ribble Police were called to Bamber Bridge Leisure Centre by staff who reported children on the roof.
Staff confronted the group, aged around 13 to 14 years of age, who produced three large kitchen knives.

Police seized the knives, but the children left the scene before speaking to the officers.
In a Facebook post, South Ribble Police said: “This doesn’t need saying, but we will say it again. There is no good reason why children or anyone else for that matter should be carrying knives.”
Police knife crime initiative Operation Sceptre begins in the next two weeks.
