The Fulwood Academy Principal has stepped down after just over a year of working in that position.
Dave Lancaster has resigned from his post at the school due to getting another job.
Lee McLinden has now stepped up as an interim Principle at the school.
Fulwood Academy sent a letter to parents to tell them the news which said: “Mr McLinden has extensive experience of working in Good and Outstanding schools, so is ideally positioned to help steer us towards the next step of Fulwood’s journey.
“In addition, everyone who knows Mr McLinden knows that he is a person of principle and integrity, who will always put the needs of the students first. He is respected highly by staff and pupils both for his expertise in the
curriculum and understanding of our pupils and the needs of Fulwood as a whole.
“Together with the rest of our staff, I have no doubt that the foundations are there for us to continue to achieve the very best for our students.”
Since 2014 there have been three permanent heads at Fulwood Academy and two people who have taken on one term interim roles between appointments however this excludes Lee McLinden who is four days into an his interim role.
