Owners at The Silk Route in Preston took to social media to let people know they had been subjected to a break in.

They wrote: “So we had an interesting night. Woken up at 4am by the alarm monitoring company to be told intruders on the premises. Arrive to find this.

“Our second break-in in less than 8 weeks, with an attempted one in between. Suspect the same culprit, but the good news is police forensics have attended and got a DNA match.

“We have evidence and will catch the perpetrators. We are decent, hard working people and this is so disheartening. But we will prevail. Thank you for all your support. We will be open as usual from 5pm. Keep Calm and Curry On.”
