Pedestrian taken to hospital after being hit by car on Ringway

Police have reported that they were called to a road traffic collision today (Tuesday 16 February) at around 4.44pm.

Emergency services are currently at the scene.

The incident occurred between a pedestrian and a Vauxhall Corsa at the junction of Ringway and Stanley Street, close to the Queen’s Street retail park.

A man in his 60s, has suffered suspected head and arm injuries – a spokesperson told Blog Preston.

A road closure was put in place in Stanley Street but has since reopened.

Police are asking the public to find alternative routes if possible as traffic is heavy.
