Police closed New Hall Lane for around seven hours overnight after a serious crash.
It has since been confirmed that an 18-year-old passenger died in the crash. The driver and two other passengers are in hospital with serious injuries.

The incident, which happened at 10.50pm last night (Thursday 4 February), caused the road to be closed at the junction with Blackpool Road and at Brockholes Brow.
The road was reopened just before 7am today (Friday 5 February).
At the time of the closure, a spokesperson for Preston Police said: “We are currently dealing with a serious road traffic collision in New Hall Lane, Preston.
“Closures have been put in place at the road’s junction with Blackpool Road and at Brockholes Brow.
“The closures will be in place for a considerable period of time and we would ask that people avoid the area.”
