A memorial bench for Michael Brooks has been put in place in Avenham park.
Michael Brooks was tragically found in the River Ribble in Penwortham three years ago after a three week search from all emergency services to find him.
Following the three year anniversary since Michael passed away, the memorial bench has been revealed in one his favourite parks to honour his memory.
Councillor Robert Boswell, Cabinet member for environment and community safety, said: “It is our honour to provide memorial opportunities through commemorative benches in our well-loved parks, as a way for family and friends to remember their loved ones in a beautiful setting.
“As requested by his family, a memorial plaque for Michael was installed on a bench in Avenham and Miller parks last week. Our deepest condolences go out to Michael’s family and friends at this sad and difficult time and we hope that this memorial will offer comfort to them.”
