A marquee has been erected opposite the former B&M stores vaccination centre next to Preston Bus Station.

The vaccination centre in St John’s is set to start vaccinating people on Thursday (18 February).

It has been confirmed by the NHS that the marquee is to provide heated shelter as part of the queuing system for when people arrive at the vaccination site.

Residents are being reminded that is it vital they arrive on time for their appointment to prevent queues from building up.

The Blackburn Cathedral vaccination hub was criticised earlier in February as long queues saw people outside during very cold weather awaiting their vaccine.
