Preston Grasshoppers Rugby Football Club is to become a Covid-19 vaccination centre.

The club will be transformed by Thursday 4 February and the centre will operate 8am-8pm seven days a week.

This is following a successful partnership with Broadway Pharmacy during the Flu Vaccination Programme.

Hugh Duckworth, management committee member said: “The appointment is in line with the club’s role in the community and Preston Grasshoppers looks forward to working closely with Broadway Pharmacy and delivering an important vaccination programme.”

There will be seven separate vaccination pods and the centre will be managed and staffed by Broadway Pharmacy.

However, it will close Tuesday 31 August.
